For beginners and experienced meditators looking for/seeking support & guidance along the Way. Emphasis is on practice with time provided for discussion at the end of the hour. Mindfulness or 'insight' meditation is an ancient and wonderfully simple practice handed down to us from the East. By calming your overactive mind, relaxing the body and gently guiding your awareness to the present moment, you gradually "wake up" to a new way of living. You are better able to focus and concentrate. You discover an inner peace no matter what the circumstances. You feel more "connected". You relax, let go and lead a more satisfying and effective life. |

The Teen Class at Lotus Yoga is for kids ages 11-17. Classes emphasize stress reducing yoga postures and class discussions on how the yoga practices can be applied to our daily lives. Yoga is especially helpful for teenagers in the following ways: helps create a strong and flexible body and mind, helps to create a sense of self acceptance and inner peace, helps get you through life’s "trouble spots", helps with focus and concentration, and enhances performance in sports and other extracurricular activities. |
